Ways of Providing Support to Ensure Goals are Met

The very first step in ensuring the goals and objectives are achieved is to understand their targets and goals. One technique in which the support was offered includes regularly discussing career development with all the team members. This helps in having the ideas and experiences of what is happening. The activities occurred at least one to two times per week. This was important in generating interest in the group activities and providing space to solve their problems proactively and further identify all the available opportunities (Wagen and Goonetilleke 2015).

Many people are so much aware of the essence of setting specific goals, measuring them and also monitoring the progress. However, there is one weakness which includes investing others dreams. The process involves understanding the broader picture of what the team members wanted to achieve in life. This is one way of helping them become aware of the dreams (Wagen and Goonetilleke 2015).

On the other hand, another way to achieve the group support is letting others know their potential and their usefulness in the team. This helps them attain their goals as they learn new skills of how to do things. It also requires much communication regarding the opportunities that exist in a team. Lastly, providing coaching and training is critical in achieving member’s goal. The essential thing about it is that it helps them understand the organization supports for their collective and personal goals (Wagen and Goonetilleke 2015).

Ways of Contributing to Goals

Various means were used in contributing to the goals, and it includes generating better Ideas, morale and talent collaboration. Generating ideas in a team is an important way of contributing to team goals rather than being creative as an individual. This creates space for groups to have an insight of pros and cons of the set goal and enable its evaluation. Further, team members were provided with morale to perform better and feel important on the team. It is also an avenue for a team member to have an interaction with their fellows. It also stimulates emotional support thus helping the group to be active (Kim and Lee 2013).

Further, there is talent collaboration as a way of contributing to the goal. The importance is having all the expertise work toward their collective goals and objectives. It enables different individuals with a different talents and life experiences to converge together. Over time, different people may take active roles in projects or activities based on their unique skills (Wagen and Goonetilleke 2015).

According to Magnus and DeChurch (2012), information about the goals and objectives of the team was shared using various ways. The communication avenues include having group chat where people got information and knowledge from others. On the other hand, newsfeed was used to share a range of information, which could be important to others in respective areas. The avenues were critical in ensuring creation and sharing of knowledge and also encouraging others to achieve set objectives.

Opportunity for Improvement

There is a chance for improvement next time the group undertakes an activity. Team members should focus toward consensus instead of arguing on small matters. On the other hand, the goal of the group activity should not be ambiguous and need to be planned with real ideas in the mind. Besides the activities will be geared toward establishing a robust strategy to unite while addressing the weaknesses. Therefore, everything needs to be done and implemented strategically and not haphazardly. Further, the probable challenges need to be screened ahead of time (Mathur and Wilckens 2014).
