This report looks at analyzing the manner in which HR/L&D function has helped the educational sector to carry out the different functions and the manner in which effectiveness has multiplied for the department.

The HR/L&D function has helped the organization to achieve its goals and business objectives in the following manner

Firstly, it has helped the department to hire the best talent within the industry. This has helped them to ensure that the different courses which are developed have the required professionals who can guide them so that better results can be achieved among the students. This has helped the organization to carry out different innovative and new courses which has improved the overall productivity and has helped the organization to be able to come with new ideas as per the changing business environment (Martin & Whiting, 2013)

Secondly, HR/L&D function has helped to bring efficiency as it has helped to ensure that the bench strength of people looking for jobs is strong. This enables them the organization to save on vital resources like time and money which would otherwise have been spent on searching the required talent (Beevers & Rea, 2013). This has thereby helped them to work in a professional manner and has shaped the overall working culture

Thirdly, HR/L&D function has enabled the organization to get the correct talent at the correct time. This has given them an advantage as any strategies which are developed and pursued can be easily implemented as the process has provided an avenue through which overall working dimensions have multiplied and better results are achieved (Martin & Whiting, 2013). This has reduced the gap between which the business is able to take important and effective decisions and has been thereby able to bring about a complete change in the manner different activities are carried out.

The HR/L&D function apart from helping the organization to achieve its goals and objectives have been able to support the line managers. The manner in which HR/L&D function has supported the line managers are as

Firstly, it has guided them in times of difficulties and has provided the room through which required changes and amendments have been made so that overall productivity of the organization increases (Beevers & Rea, 2013)

Secondly, it has ensured that the line managers have sufficient resources at their disposal as the process has provided an opportunity to search for the correct talent which is required. This has thereby filled the gap and created an opportunity through which the different resources are used in the best manner and has helped the organization to be able to pursue its goals in an effective manner.

Thirdly, HR/L&D function has ensured that the line managers have better coordination among each other and the different departments. The HR/L&D function acts as a liaison between the different departments and has provided the opportunity through which changes have been made so that business effectiveness and growth multiplies

The HR/L&D function also contributes and supports the staff in different ways. The different manner in which HR/L&D function supports the professional support staffs are

Firstly, HR/L&D function ensures that the professional support staff is provided with the required resources and things through which they will be able to procure their goals in an effective manner (Martin & Whiting, 2013). This has helped the support staff to ensure that they have the required resources at their disposal and has provided the opportunity through which maximum gains have been achieved

Secondly, HR/L&D function has helped the professional staff to achieve better coordination among them. Since the HR/L&D function acts as a liaison between the support staff it ensures smooth flow of information and other things through which employees’ productivity has multiplied (Martin & Whiting, 2013). This has created the required scope and dimensions through which better gains are achieved.

Thirdly, the HR/L&D function helps to fulfil the different employee needs of the professional support staff. The strong bench strength of employees helps to ensures that the support staffs are supplied with the required personnel as and when the need arises (Beevers & Rea, 2013). This helps the support staff to be able to concentrate on the job on hand and reduces wastage. The overall impact of such a decision is that it helps to multiply productivity and reduces wastage.
