AIMS/OBJECTIVES :

By the end of the lesson, students should be able to
describe different business environments; students to orally give presentations in class as well as give different scenarios on how business influence the environment.

ASSUMPTIONS

All Students are well versed with global environmental issues and how business influences business environment.

ANTICIPATED PROBLEMS:

Problems Anticipated & Solutions:
Problem1 – Difficulty in environmental vocabulary.
Solution – Students to be guided on various environmental vocabulary.
Problem 2 – Difficulty in assessing proper and consistent use of English language during the discussion.
Solution – Student discussion should be under supervision and remedial action taken immediately.

OVERVIEW : Brief lesson preview

The lesson gives general overview on business and its environment. Students to demonstrate proper understanding and usage of English during group discussions and presentations.

External business environment is the surrounding of any business. Students to give examples of business environment and orally describe the components of external business environment.

Students to familiarize themselves with vocabulary pertaining business English.

PRACTICE

Reading from textbook describing various environmental issues. Give detailed descriptions of environmental issues affecting business. Students to give the descriptions orally in clear, coherent and concise English language.

Handout: Listening Task

Students to give oral and written presentations to gauge ability in both written and spoken English

Students to orally form sentences describing business environment while confirming various discussions from CD replays.

Purpose of Procedure: To be able to listen to students giving summary of key points pertaining global environmental. Students to practice orally while seeking clarifications to test the their grasp of both written and spoken English

2) Students through their group leader present a report of global business issues, which is presented orally.
