Organizational resilience is the ability of the business to prosper for a long-term in a dynamic and interconnected business environment. For the organization to enhance resilience, it could adopt best practices in delivering continual business environment, embedding competence, and capability across different organization (Collier & Esteban, 2007, 21). The organization needs to achieve the alignment between the expectations of customers and beliefs of the employees since the people, culture, and value of the business determines its success. For sustainability, the business could focus on it operation, supply chain, and information. Therefore, there is need to identify operational improvement across the business processes to meet customers’ needs with time through valuing the values of the employees and management. With supply chain network increasingly becoming complex, the business needs to quantify and mitigate the risks associated with business processes. Leadership is an important component of resilience (Zhang, Wang & Shen, 2011, 10112). Hence, the business needs to set leadership management a priority, appropriate allocation of resources, and establishing commitment throughout the business. Culture has great impact on business resilience (Boxall & Purcell, 2011, 122); thus, the business needs to build on its empowerment, trust, accountability, and purpose. The business should evolve into the networks of employees considered self-organized for learning and mentoring and empowered with an aim of participating, leading, and organizing virtual teams. It is such empowerment networks and connection of the employees that needs to form the bedrock of the organization. Properly selected, equipped, led, and motivated employees assist in overcoming most obstacles. To harness the ability of leading and responding to business challenges, the business requires systematic business strategy for the selection and supporting the employees.
