She relates directive design with creating an impact on how people think and how they perceive certain professions. According to her, redirective design concern mostly with the discovering news ways of doing things rather doing the usual way. She focused so much on discovering new ways of doing things and questioning the basic assumptions. Her ambition is to find new ways and strategies of escalating the available limited application of design (Wilkins and Holtham, 2012).
I learned many things from her. Some of the key things I learned is being ready for opportunities. We need to be ready to take every opportunity as it presents itself. We need to stretch achieve what we want in life rather sitting down and waiting for miracles to happen. Lastly, I have learned that, in life, we need to focus and be ambitious; we need to aim high so that we can achieve great things.
There are various ways of approaching redirective designing depending on goals and objectives. The first approach is to understand the design whether it is explanatory inquiry or as problem solving. The second approach is accepting the fact that there is a distinction between goods and services and their significance varies (Payne, 2011).
The interview was great because I learned many things. I have known that business requires commitment and determination. It is essential to develop customer loyalty so that customers can offer referral to other potential customers. Customers are very powerful in terms of marketing. Ones the customer get satisfied with the product he will offer referral through a word of mouth. It is, therefore, essential to build a positive relationship with the customers. Finally, the products and services need to be of high quality as compared to those of competitors in the market.
