The suspects might have been injured too when the bombs were denoted, and therefore they would likely seek medical help. As a result, securities at all health facilities should be provided with the images of the suspects. It would also be prudent that the official hotline contacts of the police be present on the messages so that people can report any suspicious activities in their locations. Likewise, members of the public should be advised not to post images of victims of the accident as they would spark fear among people. More so, it would be very unfortunate when someone sees a picture of his or her loved one circulating on Social media.
Weaver should ensure that the messages that he creates are from authoritative sources such as the police spokesperson to avoid sending conflicting or wrong information to others. Often, most people usually share messages from fake accounts that turn out to be false (Bauder, 2009). Therefore, Weaver ought to ensure that he uses information from only verified and credible sources. It is also important to note that most of terrorists’ post events of the attacks on social media and it is advisable that individuals desist from sharing their posts.
Upon publishing and sharing the messages on social media, Weaver is most likely to receive messages from members of the public who want extra information. It is advisable that he does not give out any information, as he is not an official source. Instead, he should advise members of the public to seek it from relevant authorities.
