This assignment was focused on evaluating the understanding of the measures that contribute to organizational performances. This is an assignment that was targeted at analyzing organizational behavior in relation to the projections that were exhibited by a team that had been tasked to tracking claims. An analysis of the case study proved that the team leader, Parker, had much been preoccupied with his team’s performances as opposed to improving his performances as a group leader (French 2011, 34). His poor performances in management are factors that hampered the team’s harmony and even affected his subordinates’ willingness to work with him for a second time. The analysis of the team’s behavior as they reacted to their leader’s failure to acknowledge individual differences within the team and to his use of biased perceptions to judge their performances and negate their motivation highlighted the implications that a team is always likely to suffer when team members’ true value is not considered (Schermerhorn 2012, 48). This is a projection that enhanced the understanding of the need for positive environs in workplaces. Besides, conflict management, communication, and emotional intelligence are factors that came out as key ingredients to leadership. In a sense, this assignment created a podium for integrating academic theories and conceptions with the practical measures that are often exhibited in ideal situations.
Challenges in Tackling the Assignments
Though the realization of the assignments’ objectives was buoyed by the academic theories that had been covered through the course and in researches, there were factors that proved challenging to the fulfillment of the assignments’ details. The most significant challenge resulted from the evaluation of the case study to ensure that every detail had been captured in the analysis as there were different opinions regarding certain projections. To overcome this challenge, the team had to apply the theoretical projections that have been projected in publications and that have been covered through the course. That implies that the assignment, in a sense, even enhanced the teams’ capacity to implement the academic lessons in practical measures (Dougherty 2012, 59).
The realization of the assignments’ objectives is a factor that enhanced the integration of the theoretical concepts that have been learned in different environs into practical situations. That implies that the assignments ideally improved the understanding of academic concepts, the situations to which they relate, and how they can be used to remedy the situations. Most importantly, the challenges that were experienced when undertaking the assignments even further enhanced the ability to use the concepts for self-gratification.
