On the other hand, the access of the healthcare services hindered the quality of health among the people. Several factors contributed to the poor access of quality healthcare among the people. The identification of the factors hindering the access of to medical services impacted positively on the health of the indigenous people. The factors were identified after a careful analysis of the health practices of the indigenous people.

Activity 2

The use of interpreters when dealing with the members of the indigenous communities is important in terms of improving the quality of health. This is because the symptoms and the requirements of the patients can easily be understood by any medical personnel. Using the interpreters will involve hiring the locals who understand the local language and English. The interpreter will be tasked with ensuring g that the communication process is efficient. The interpreter should communicate to the patient on what is required of them and also what they require. In order to ensure the accuracy of the treatment, the interpreter may at times write some of the requirements of the patient for the purpose of keeping records. The recommendations to the patients should also be written for the future use of the patient. The efficiency of the process will enhance the treatment of the indigenous patients by understanding their needs.

Closing the challenges for the indigenous children and infants affects the quality of health provided to them. The main challenge is their parents and their guardians. The health decisions for the infants and the children are usually made by their parents. Some of the indigenous parents have a diverse view with regards to the provision of the modern healthcare services. The therefore end up resisting some of the practices and hence affecting the health o the children and infants. The communication process also hinders the treatment of the children and the infants and hence affecting the quality of their treatment. The issue of access is also a challenge that affects the quality of health among the children and the infants. This also contributes to the challenges being faced during the provision of the healthcare services. The therefore require a lot of attention for the purpose of improving the health of the children and infants.

The median age of the indigenous people is quite young with statistics pointing at twenty one. This is an indication that the birth rate of the indigenous people is high as compared to that of the other population. However it is also an indication that the life expectancy of the indigenous people is low. This is because the population of the older people is relatively low as compared to the other population. Measures should thus be put in place to increase the life expectancy of the indigenous people. The provision of quality healthcare services is one of the measures that need to be put in place. However the fact that the majority of the people are young is an indication that the fertility rate is high as compared to the other population. Measures should be put in place to ensure that the high fertility rates are in line with the life expectancy of the indigenous people.

Activity 5

The indigenous Australian women have bee subjected to various levels of oppressions with some of the oppressive activities still taking place. The major level of oppression subjected to the indigenous women is the domestic violence. Most of the indigenous women have been physically and verbally abused by their husbands and the members of the family. This has negative impacts on their health. Marginalization is also one of the oppression that faced the indigenous women. This is in terms of access of services including the healthcare services. This also impacts negatively on the health of the indigenous women. Sexual abuse and rape has also been faced by the indigenous women. This leads to poor health as most of the women are affected psychologically by rape and sexual abuse. The rights of the indigenous women have also been undermined in most instances. This has led to a situation where women are co9nsidered inferior as compared to the men. It is thus evident that the indigenous women have undergone a lot of oppression through various ways. The men and the society are the major perpetrators of the vice and it has negative impacts on the health of the women.

The population pyramid is important in terms of showing the population of the indigenous people in terms of their groups. The pyramid considers some of the indigenous people as older while pothers are considered elderly. The life expectancy of the indigenous people is an important consideration used in the population pyramid in terms of classifying the adults as older and others as the elderly. Most of the people who are above sixty years are considered elderly according to the population pyramid. Adults who are within the fifty years bracket are considered to be older adults. It is also important to note that most of the indigenous people start a family at an earlier age. This is common among both the men and women. This is also among the factors that leas to the early aging of the indigenous people together with the poor access of health. It is for this reason that the indigenous people are considered elderly at an earlier age as compared to the other groups.

Activity 7

Working together with the indigenous people will definitely improve the healthcare provision. Initially, it was difficult to work with the indigenous people and there was always a sense of fear and nervousness. This is because the lack of understanding of the needs and language of the indigenous people. On the other hand, the indigenous people were perceived to be stubborn and aggressive and hence the fear of working with them. The malparara principle can be used to achieve the goals of the healthcare provision by closely working with the indigenous people. This can be achieved through free interaction with them and hence creating a friendly atmosphere that will ensure a proper working relation. The principles are also important in terms of achieving the healthcare goals.
