This boost has seen tourism in Singapore prove to be a better source for revenue generation in the country. Tourism in Singapore is governed by the Singapore Tourism Board, which has many situated in different parts of the world. This move is aimed at promoting Singapore tourism to the world. The Singapore tourism board incorporates various methods of advertisements, which have been beneficial in marketing Singapore as an attractive tourism destination. Established in 19964, its main function is the coordination of touristic avenues such as hotels, travel agents and the airline industry as preferred tourism promoters. The country is small and this leads to limited tourist attractions. Costs of labor are also very high leading to a small percentage of staff workers in the tourism and hospitality industry.
