Project Execution Plan
1.0: Introduction
ATA solar project in East Timor is structured to ensure that the residents have the ability to upgrade their lives by access to affordable and efficient solar energy. By adhering to the project plan in place it is possible for the project to succeed especially considering the required standards that must be maintained when executing such a project.
1.1: Executive Summary
This paper discusses the execution plan for the ATA solar project in East Timor. A description of the project is provided concerning the equipment and the installation process. Missions and objectives of the project are then given by stating the general objectives and then the specific project objectives. Roles and responsibilities of the different stakeholders in the project are discussed starting from the project sponsors, manager, and other employees. The project management plan explains how the project must be handled and how various relationship in the execution of the project must be conserved (Vikstrom, 2008). It also expounds on the need to manage the knowledge flow within the project and also the importance of understanding various risks that project is likely to face.
1.2: Project description
ATA is an Australian based company that aims at providing clean energy to the people and ensuring that the people live sustainably through solar and education on the energy policy (Harris, 2006). The ATA solar project in East Timor, which is a neighboring country is based on the energy poverty in the country as 35% of the country is not connected to the national grid.
The ATA solar project in East Timor will provide solar panels that provide clean and renewable electricity and lighting. The solar panels will light and power households and institutions through lighting prototypes that are constructed to perform efficiently and effectively through enhanced functionality and other features that include performance monitoring (Vikstrom, 2008). Some of the specifics needed for the project include the main solar power system and the main lighting system (Harris, 2006). Batteries for storage of the power are also required. Others include switches, cables, bulbs, and sockets. It is estimated that sixteen solar power systems will be installed in the five districts of East Timor.
2.0: Project Management Plan
The project management plan shows in details how various components of the project should be executed. It lays the foundation of the project by ensuring the people are managed effectively, resources in the course of the project are utilized in the right way, the communication plan is adequately provided and the stakeholders within the project are coordinated effectively. Furthermore, the project management plan provides the flexibility needed for the successful adjustments in the course of the project.
2.1: Risk management Plan
Risk management plan identified the risk that the project is likely to face and how they will be approached. It also shows how the mitigation will be done to ensure that the risks that have been identified do not affect the success of the project. ATA Solar Project in East Timor may be faced with the risks ranging from Technological, financial, along with the environmental risks which must be analyzed and the plan laid out on how each of the risks may be addressed.
2.2: Contracting Plan
Contracting plan establishes the contracts within the project. All the stakeholders that are covered by the established contracts must execute their duties accordingly for the success of the project. Through this, the contracting parties may include the project team members, experts as well as suppliers and other professionals that may be involved in the project. Therefore, all the contracts in the ATA Solar Project in East Timor should be executed as laid out in this contracting plan.

In this case, the quality assurance plan denotes different roles that various stakeholders have in the completion of the project and quality that is required in the course of the project.
2.6: Document control and information management plan
This helps in evaluating whether the execution of the project was able to follow the laid down strategies. Therefore the Document control and information management plan are useful after the start of the project. This helps in examining the day to day activities have been followed to the latter by the project team and at the same time identify the gaps in the project.
2.7: Relationship management plan
Relations are vital in the execution of the ATA Solar Project in East Timor. Both internal and external stakeholders in the course of the project are bound by the relationship management plan since it shows how various relationships should be handled in the course of the project. This includes the role that the experts in various filed play in the execution of the contract to help in making sure that high-quality work is achieved and the residents are able to access better services in the long run.
2.8: Knowledge management Plan
The distribution of knowledge in the execution of the ATA Solar Project in East Timor is necessary if the project is to succeed. Through this, the project team should be able to utilize the experts in various fields and the information should be disseminated in the right manner to ensure that the project is a success (Harris, P. 2.9: Project Review plan
The ATA will only require the project review plan once the ATA Solar Project in East Timor has been executed to help in determining whether it was executed as per its expectations.
2.10: Organization plan
The organization plan of the ATA Solar Project in East Timor shows the responsibilities of the workforce mandated to execute various responsibilities in the course of the project.
2.11: Project Close out plan
The project closes out plan is required upon the project completion. This helps in identifying the challenges, the project milestones, the risks identified at the beginning of the project, the risks that arose in the course of the project and were not a part of the risk analysis and the potential recommendation for the future projects.
