In real life context, planning is very crucial. In order for the predetermined results to be achieved, proper plans layout has to be taken into consideration. From the home based affairs, corporate affairs all the way to the government sectors, planning has the most effect and has to be given much consideration. Most of the successful individuals and organizations have done so because of the effective planning and the planning capabilities of their staffs or the main stakeholders. From line management to the strategic management in the organizations, they are supposed to take planning activities with much tender and as a platform to success. As the say goes, failing to plan is planning to fail. In the government sector, the president, the ministers and all the governing bodies has to be composed of individuals with planning and forecasting capabilities where they can be able to know the necessary effects regarding the nation and where to be in the next specified time. The private sectors whose main concerns are the making of profits, they have to be conversant with the necessary investment portfolios in order to acquire the necessary and viable projects to adopt (Beatley et al, 1997).

Planning is defined as the framework lay down by individuals and corporate sectors in order to guide the on the to go and undertake their operation in order to achieve the desired goal within a span of specified time. In the business sectors employees are among the crucial factors that determine effective planning processes. The necessary codes of ethics also have to be adhered to in high prospects. In giving broad understanding and the issues about planning, this paper reviews planning basing on the private/corporate sector. It shows the various areas to be keenly inspected by the investors in order to attain a proper and viable plan of events.

Suitable placement employers

Planning is very essential in private sector as it plays a great role in the accomplishment of various roles which are left out by the government. In every country, this sector normally plays an important role as it normally checks the loopholes that are not taken care of by other sectors in employment, social responsibilities, and many more. This sector in terms of recruitment, selection and placement is considered to be very important as it absorbs labour force from the public every now and then. For placement to be done in the best way some agents are involve like Private recruitment and placement agency whose aim is to regulate and govern the activities of all entities and individuals who are involved in the recruitment and placement of people . The respective agency has to obtain a certificate from the labour and employment department which is mandated by the government to regulate the exercise. Placement is crucial to any organization and for it to be successful as the employer I have to understand the employee ability, strength and weakness .By this I will know where to put each and everyone’s best position. In planning for placement, as an employee it’s a requirement for them to familiarize themselves with practical details of the employees that is; the experience of the employees in a similar position, similar institution so that I can know the quality of the human resource am about to hire so that I can know where to train the employee.

Issues to be compared with my organization

As compared to the public sectors whose transparency is a main ethic in the every activity because it involves the taxpayer’s money and resources. However this may not be the case with the private sector. Private individuals need to have some privacy with their resources in order to avoid the competitor’s advantage taking place. In the planning activities the public sectors puts their plans in the website, but in the cases of the private ones it is not healthy to involve placing the strategic plans of the sector in the website. As a planner and the implementer of the laid plans and portfolios, I will only reveal my plans only to the crucial parties and only those who matter in my plans. These individuals may involve the management and the executive team whom I have trusted and working with.

Profession institute of Australia

Planning is a profession like any other profession and hence there some standards that one needs to adhere to. These are the code of conduct and ethics. Code of conduct are the standard that give guidance and support to planners so that they practice their profession with the uppermost ethical and professional standard and will therefore gain respect, trust and more importantly have the confidence of the society they serve. Ethics is the moral behavior of a society of doing the right things. The PIA is the abbreviation given by some members to mean planning institute of Australia (Planning Institute of Australia, 2006). This code of conduct and the professional conduct bide all its members and they are as follows:

All members shall make sure that every person that may be affected by planning decisions get the chance to be involved in a useful way during the decision making process. The members shall endeavor for the utmost standard in every activity of their professional. Members shall promote and uphold the eradication of discrimination on any ground be it creed, race, social status, disability or age. Transparency, Members shall pursue to ensure that the planning processes are openly conducted and interested persons are serviced with all relevant information. Also, members shall ensure that there is fully utilization and protection of natural and man-made resources to make sure its efficient and economical and also to enhance efficient and conducive living and working environment. In order to avoid duplication of work in planning, members shall unveil their role. Lastly, members shall advocate high professional standing of the institute.

As a planner I need to have code of conduct, this act as the guideline on how to deal with the employees issues without biasness in anyway and upholding high standards of transparency as high as possible. The issues pertaining employees should be dealt with very seriously since they affect the functioning and the job performance in a big way hence I as a planner need to have high level of competence. The code of conducts are in all professions since they help to regulate the governance and the way professionals carry out their mandates .Examples of the codes of conducts include, I should place the interest of the client and the profession above my own interest to avoid conflicts, I should also act with dignity competence and integrity, I should also strive to maintain and improve my professional competence to perfect my skills in handling of the task assigned in planning (Planning Institute of Australia, 2006). In cases where there are disputes its my duty to listen and not take sides hence strike an amicable solution. It’s also stipulated in the codes of ethics that professionals must be accountability.

Reflection of personal ethics

Personal ethics is the moral values upheld by an individual while professional ethics are the moral values uphold by a professional. This two are intertwined in that when one have one he must have the other. The personal ethics includes attribute like honesty, hard work, trustworthy. These personal ethics helps me to be efficient and to help me have good relations with other colleagues.

Professional Insurance requirements.

It’s mandatory for the planners to have the insurance cover and its as follows; If a planner is covered under a policy held by another entity, the respective planner is not required to hold an insurance. If a planner is providing tax agent to their employer, they are not required to register. Registered planners who do not provide a tax agent or other return are not required to have a PI insurance cover.

Time management

Time is the most crucial factor in everything that is done in the universe. Man cannot control time in any way therefore; it is upon the individual or the corporate sector to manage time. As the planner, I will prepare the time scheme by which every event will be allocated its time basing on the previous experience. With regard that my planning scheme does not involve a lot of parties, my scheme will be viable and implementable since no much consultations and tedious decision making (Higgs et al, 2001). The manner by which I will present my time management will be revealed by the plausibility in attaining the intended plans. Though there will be some deviations in the implementation time and schemes the delay will be covered by the plans that will be easy to implement and therefore the overall time will not deviate from the initial planned with much time.

Interpersonal skills

In any process that involves dealing with more than one individual there must arise some conflicts maybe of interest or in the real context of the plan layout. Communication is the best way to solve these conflicts. I will make sure that there are effective communications between the implementers of the plan. Being honest in everything we do and respecting each other’s is the key to a good teamwork and achievement. The conflicts that may arise are to be addressed in time before they appear. In the matters relating to the financial based activities, everyone who involves him/herself with the management of cash should present the spending of the cash and if any deviation from the actual plan is not communicated in a convincing manner, they should be held liable and be charged as per the rules and regulations communicated at the beginning of the plan. Solving of the conflicts will be undertaken as per those rules.

Technical skills

Apart from the theoretical practices in the daily activities, technical skills are very necessary and applicable. These skills do not need any teachings but they may be acquired from day to day activities and workshops. These skills help individuals to formulate solutions to basic problems regarding day to day activities. My development in these areas has been contributed by the much interactions with people from different cultures and occupations. The implementers of the plan I will admit in my plan will also undergo the interview to test their intelligence quotient.

Cross-cultural skills

As a planner I have come up with a frame work which will ensure that employee who are recruited are not due to their color but due to merits. The gender balance must also be checked to facilitate. As a professional culture is not a constraint to one’s career hence all are equal and in my docket as the planner I have come up with measures such setting a day where employees interact through games and other forums like seminars.

The management practice

The practice management in private sector is as shown below; the private sector is solely motivated by profit making. Hence its measures are based on how efficient it is to production of wealth in relation to the materials used. Its main aim it’s to ensure all the objectives are achieved (Planning Institute of Australia, 2006).

Expectations of financial reporting

Financial is the key goal for any organization therefore I expect my team to present the statement of affairs and the financial position with much honesty. Financial achievement is a motivational aspect in the organizations. In case of any misappropriation in the funds, those involved should be held liable. Those who have committed their funds towards the activities of the organization should have to reimburse (Thompson, 2007). The planned finance should be made to fit in a way that it pays the human resources and the technologies employed.
