This is the initial stage of borrowing money from a bank in order to have enough capital to start the project of beer production. The bank will lend the money on an agreement to pay interest on top of the money they will give out. The project of starting a brewing project will cost an approximate of $ 80 million to commence (Machover, 1996). This I will borrow from Standard Chartered bank which has the lowest interest rates that can be paid after establishment of the beer production. Additional, funds to finance the project will also come from borrowing friends, family members, and relatives and also from personal savings. This stage will take roughly 2 weeks.
This will comprise the various stages I will require for the production of the beer product. It establishes dependencies between stages and allocates resources to each stage. The production plan will be as follows:
They are the people who will supply the raw materials for beer production. The raw materials will be sourced from commercial and local communal farmers to avoid intermediaries. Engaging local suppliers will promote local trade and businesses. This will minimize shipping and transportation costs which will benefit the consumer because the beer will be cheaper. Establishing good business relationships with suppliers by paying them on time will ensure uninterrupted deliveries and higher profit margins. This stage will take 3 weeks.
Starting to receiving materials
This will be done to check that the quality and condition of the raw materials is up to the required standards. This stage will be the quality assurance section that will enable me to know the quantity of raw materials received and make further analysis on the quality of the raw materials before processing them for consumer consumption. This stage will take 2 weeks.
Storage of raw materials
It will involve storing the raw materials in a secure, clean and pest free store. It will also involve reconciliations and stock taking on a regular basis. This will be done by implementing the principle of First in First out (FIFO).Thus if any stock is taken out; it will be recorded on a bin card or stored separately. The reconciliations of raw materials issued to production, brewery, losses, closing and opening stocks should be taken. Materials will only be stored for only 6 hours and then taken for production.
Dealing with by-products
The firm will utilize all the raw materials after which by-products will remain. There are many by-products that will be produced from the main lines of production. The by-products will be recycled to prevent environmental pollution and ensure the firm resources are fully utilized. Immediately after production the by-products will be recycled.
These are tasks that must be executed or completed before the production begins. They will include hiring qualified staff, purchasing vehicles for deliveries, securing a reliable source of raw material, ensuring the necessary equipment and machinery for production are in place, ensuring the availability of funds for the project, sourcing for a manufacturer with the required production capacity of more than 1000 litres per day. This stage will take 4 weeks.
Production of Hanness Lager beer product will begin after everything has been put in place. This will be after one month. The production will consider the market forces of supply and demand and the use of fewer inputs to get more output. Also time efficiency where products will only take one hour to process and complete the product (Stevenson, 2007).
This will be done through advertisement in the newspapers, magazines, TVs, radio and the internet on social networks. Also road shows and selling the beer product in strategic locations such as retail outlets will also be used for promotion of the product. Advertisement to promote the product will also include the use of banners and billboards on buildings and highways.

The range of creative thinking technique I explored and used to generate a creative concept in an innovative manner are the creative thinking tools for every Entrepreneur. They helped me to be able to understand what is required while planning for a business project particularly in production. They include;
Zeroing –in on the best concept from a list you have made. As an entrepreneur one should be able to choose the best idea from the whole list. This is by understanding the pros and cons of the best listed ideas. Once you have finished writing for each idea you analyze it and it becomes easier to adopt the most suitable (Jet, 2003). Finding and resolving a problem is another technique .Here you identify the problems that you know are affecting you and find solutions for them as an entrepreneur.
You should be able to look at things from a different perspective. As an entrepreneur you should be able to approach problems from different perspectives. This is by looking the situations from people perspective, product perspective, potential perspective and planning perspective. The other technique is that I used group creativity to make advanced decisions. This is by acquiring different ideas from fellow students on the subject matter. This proved that you can solve more problems when you think outside the box
The different concepts and ideas I tested and experimented them with the other students. This is by involving all the class members on a group discussion concerning the project. Different fresh ideas were formulated by the class members and I adopted some ideas that I could use to better the project. The involvement of class members helped me to get the different methods of tackling the problems that might arise during the execution of the project. The concept of zeroing on the best concepts from the list influenced the adoption of new and the most suitable ideas that I could incorporate to my project as they were explained in detail in the discussion.
The creative concepts I evaluated to suit the target audience were the market forces that could occur while introducing the new product. The purchasing power of the people, advertisement and the forces of market; supply and demand. This was to be put in place alongside the social, ethical and environmental issues (Schroeder, 2007).
The social issue was to ensure the product was appealing to all the different age categories but not small children who can be affected if they consume alcohol. The other fact was to ensure that the product was affordable by each individual regardless of their social class. On the ethical part, it was important to produce a high quality product that has no health complications to the consumers. This is important to protect the company’s name and the brand from bad image to the public.
The environmental issues that I needed to consider were the proper disposal mechanism of waste products to prevent polluting the environment. This I could achieve through recycling the wastes from the production line which would help to reduce cost of production by minimizing the amount of raw materials to be bought. I ensured that adherence to the laid down environmental regulations was strictly observed to prevent conflicts with the environmental authorities.
