Ones in use, neglected, and refurbished is the Goods Line in Sydney. The durable looking metallic Goods Line runs from Ultimo Road Railway Bridge through to the Museum currently forming the entrance in Macarthur Street, which make up an inner suburb in Sydney. This route is primarily remembered as a vital section of the historical Darling Harbor railway which delivered goods to and from the state like coal, wheat and wool to ships docked at Darling Harbor ready to be shipped all over the world or into the state. The lane was in use for nearly 150 years before it was abandoned for decades, until 2015 when it reopened for pedestrian use (Robertson, 2015).

The interlocking machine, is a memorable scenery you will find along the walkway.
Complemented by the refurbished Goods Line texture, interlocking machine was a 36-lever frame initially housed within the former Ultimo street signal box erected in 1908. The machine was used to ensure smooth release of signals for railways signals and points operation to avoid signal collision causing accidents (Simpson, 2015). Today, it is
left in the open, as a reminder of the past in the Goods Line. The brown,
rusty, and non-greasy columns and joints is an evidence of years of negligence the machine has faced.

The rail line was closed in 1980s. It has faced years of dilapidation as an industrial relic. Part of it was demolished on its closure, with the remains left standing; decaying with time following the years of abandonment. As unrestricted it was used by resident as a model for trespass and weeds which climbed on it to enjoy the scenery and a primary view zone for objects far off. While, the city leaders were for the idea to bring it down for good, the locals, campaigned for its salvage, pointing it as a potential zone for an urban park (Rollo, 2016). The interlocking machine, tells the consequence of human behavior. Due to vandalism, on 11 March, 1996, the signal box went into frames (Figure 2). The train tracks (Figure 3), carry memories of the past to date. Being left on the modern city, is not only an historical monument, but also, an indication of past memories of busy rail center, not in use today. It is the campaigner’s efforts, which led to its revival from ruins to a pregnant potential.

The Goods Line, leaves a remarkable mark on how the mediocre kind of leadership can destroy history. With a wakeup call to modern industrialization, the railway line was seen to be less important to the Sydney and Australian community as a whole. The interlocking signal lever is a good example of the impact of abandonment as well as rail tracks seen along the modern park (Figure 2 and 3). The town leadership thought it of less use to the society, and the vandalism of the interlocking machine lever of which its mechanism can be borrowed today for the modern rail transportation services is a good example of how a concrete history can be turned into ruins in a night. The fact that there has been such a tremendous changes on the Goods Line, is a true gesture of how the world is investing on its dreams with less concern on the past. The railways stations has been modified appreciating the fact that the past can be renewed and made use within the modern aspects of development. From these collection, “United we Stand divided we fall” is a live fact. The residents in Sidney could not sit and wait to see all the memories of the Goods Line railway be brought down and later be stamped upon to go into drains. They did wake up and blew the whistle in unison, to protect the past, for their children to have historical facts in place (Figure 1, 2 & 3). Time blossomed the railway in Goods Line, brought it down, and rekindled its memories for the 21st century citizen to enjoy the place in a better manner with green grassy and vegetative areas all along the unbuilt areas (Figure 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8). Thus, industrial revolution and population expansion has had a great impact on the development realized in the Goods Line up-to-date.
