The seven instances of flood can be explained using the water level in each and every time. From the analysis, it can be seen that the height of the water level depends on the flow rate and the higher the flow rate the higher that height and the volume of the water. This explains why the higher the volume of water or increase in the volume of water in the earth surface increases the intensity of the flood in the earth surface. This can be explained in the seven instances in major flood occurrences in different parts of the world.

The first deadliest flood is China floods of the 1931 also known as Yellow River floods. It is estimated that it killed over 145,000 to 4 million people. It started after a long period of drought but followed by heavy rains that raised the river level significantly.

The second flood is the Western Indian monsoons flood that claimed over 1000 lives. The intensity of the rain was recorded at 94 cm for 24 hour period. This results to increase in water level in most rivers around the city and resulted into flood that brought the city into a halt.

The third flood is the 2010 Pakistan floods which began in the late July 2010 and resulted into heavy monsoon rains in the areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sindh n Punjab. The rain water level was recorded at around 200ml in 24 hours which resulted into increase in the water level resulting into a jet like streams causing floods.

The fourth flood recorded was in 2009 in Japan known as Typhoon Marakot. The flood took place in 8/8/2009 causing several deaths with flood water increasing considerable above sea level with hurricane that caused severe damage across the city. The entire village of Shiaolin was buried at the southern county of Kaohsiung. This only shows high intensity of the flood and how high the water level rose during the period. The fifth flood is the North Korea flood of 2007. The flood destroyed most part of the southern region of the country. It resulted from high intensity of rainfall that caused the increase in water level. The sixth flood is the El Slvador floods and mudslides of 2009. This was mostly caused by the low pressure system from the Pacific Ocean and the flood from heavy rains that caused mud and rock slides. The seventh flood is the Sri Lankan flood that took place in May 2016. It resulted from heavy rains the cause rise in water level causing river banks breaking its banks.
