Systems development manager is the direct project manager. He
develops tactical and strategic business plans according to the requirements of the organization.

A network administrator plays a vital role in managing the operations of an organization. The main role of a network administrator is to design and plan the network for the most appropriate roles. In addition, maintenance, system expansion and, setting up the network are also some significant roles of network administrator.

An IT director is tasked with the huge responsibility of managing the information technology of the organization. This include managing the IT’s resources and supervising the each and every department that operates and supports the IT systems. He is also responsible for securing the data and the IT systems against loss or attack by computer viruses or other external threats.

The manager-IT operations are responsible for administering and maintaining information technology systems. He/she also tasked with the responsibility of providing IT operations functions to offices for the firm’s standard hardware and software. This is in addition to the organization’s voice/data network solutions.

Roles of a systems analyst

A systems analyst identifies, understands and plans for organizational. The plan is inclusive of systematic and human impacts of planned
systems. That is; the system anaylsts ensures that new technical requirements are properly integrated within the existing processes and skill sets.

  1. It is worth noting that for a steady operation of the system, a systems analyst may be required to plan a system flow from the ground up.
  2. This will include the all-important interaction with the customer and the internal users to learn and outline requirements that will be ultimately used to produce business requirements documents.
  3. Document requirements and to some extent contribute to user manuals.
  4. A system analysts is a technical employee hence is responsible for writing a technical requirements from a critical phase of the system.
  5. Interacts with designers to understand software limitations.
  6. Performs the vital systems testing
  7. Help programmers in providing flowcharts, use cases or even database design during system development.
  8. A system analysts is responsible for deployment of the completed system.
  9. A system analyst is responsible for designing components and providing information to the developer.

Components of the information system

  • Users-these are people who use the system such as the customer and the cashier.
  • Hardware-this includes the machines employed in the system such as in theCBS, DDS App
  • Inputs where information is fed into the system.
  • Telecommunication-links different components such as the users, the
    inputs, outputs to each other.

It falls in the category of telecommunication since it links various
components. The users are linked to the system through this channel.

Phases of SDLC in waterfall model

  • System analysis
  • Training and transition
  • Operations and maintenance

Barry Boehm is a software engineer who came up with the spiral model of developing systems. According to Barry, the spiral model as a process model generator. The generator enables the establishment of choices based on a project’s risks that ensure proper generation of an appropriate process model for the project.

Advantages of V model over a waterfall and agile model is that tester role will be involved in the requirement phase itself. Also, the requirement changes are possible in any phase.

Scrum is an agile software development framework for managing product development.

The scrum process is shown in the picture below.

The process is comprised of stakeholders, sprint
cycle, scrum
manager, users, scrum master and a product owner.

The owner of the product is responsible for representing all the interested parties and the customer. He is the one who ensures the system runs as intended.

Development team: this is a team of professionals who are responsible for creating the actual system. They do all the technical roles including analysis, designing, developing the real system, testing the developed system.

Scrum master: he is the one who facilitates scrum. He
checks the system repeatedly to ensure it does not have errors.

It is worth noting that a sprint is kept on checking the system after a specified period.

Methodologies for implementing a system.

Agile software development methodology. In this model, the development is done in cycles with each cycle advancing from the previous phase.

The spiral model methodology-this model comprises of the planning phase, the analysis phase, the engineering and the evolution phase. The system to be created goes through all these stages repeatedly.

Waterfall model- It
is done in phases with each step
being fully completed before moving on to the next step.

I would recommend they use the Agile model because they will have customer satisfactory since there is the continuous delivery of useful software, and also, the clients can be served directly.

Business case

  1. The problem statement. There is a problem in traveling to the University and moving to the University premises. This resulted from the reduced number of passenger vehicles running around the school.
  2. Analysis. This situation is so harsh, and may lead to challenges. The challenges include lateness and tiresome while carrying out my daily services.
  3. Description. I would like to have a personal car which will enable me to move the institution. It would require that I go to a driving school to get a driving license.
  4. Cost. The cost of this project depends on different factors such as the car model, the company and the licensing. This I suggest we go through together to pick the most affordable one.
  5. Alternatives. The other option is to hire a taxi. I think this option would be more expensive and less reliable.

A strong business case does not exist in that conversation because members seem not to be in agreement on many issues. Some members are not willing to accept views from other members.

The factors that might affect the Kahuna cleaning supply business success

Internal factors

  1. There is a disagreement on how large the expansion should be among the management team. They all agree that the industry should expand, but they do not agree on the level of development.
  2. The rigidness of some members to adopt the new system. Members like Charles are not willing to use computerized technology to serve their customers.
  3. They are using a traditional method which slows their rate of serving customers.

External factors.

  1. Ann McNelly realizes errors that would occur in transferring information to several points of the process if they use the system. This brings a threat to the business since their data may lose.
  2. Competition-this results from their competitors who use a computerized system which serves customers faster and, as a result, it attracts many customers.

System requirements

Financial need — When the firm is growing, it needs sufficient finances, this stage it requires an enormous financial ability since the business it stepping into a more competitive market. This capital is required during the process of expansion with an aim creating a healthy workplace. The money is needed for the purchase of transport requirements and other crucial needs.

Labor workforce—a sound and productive system needs a will skilled and cooperative workforce, from support staff to managers. The number of workers should not exceed the maximum requirements for a starting business.

Marketing and awareness effort. — The company needs to be marketed all over the world; this sensitization program should be complemented with advertisement as a primary method. ExercisesPortfolio 1

Functional process and specifications

Since the business is a courier company, there is a need for the founder to set the business in the best geographical location for simpler accessibility and efficient supply.

From the exploratory analysis above, the mind map plan should contain, a series of activities that occur at the same time and with a tandem in all substations and central office. All activities must be synchronized with time and customer analysis.

Functional specification progress

A model system plan report should contain an active human resource and financial management team. Furthermore, for a profitable and well reputation company, the program must require an all-inclusive marketing strategy fuelled by a yearning to achieve quality customer service.

  1. Fact finding techniques
  • Interviews
  • Field research
  • a collection of data from a secondary source
  • Survey collection method.
  1. System improvements required for a quality output
  • information technology should be improved d to a more analytic and intrusive system
  • development of the employee compensation plans plan
  • create the best marketing team to monitor the current market trend
