This is done by provision of structures and mechanisms which are appropriate to ensure standards are conformed to. Secondly, the quality management ensures that the organization advocates and demands quality for its customers and also the business. Thirdly, quality control in DHL UAE provides the organization meets or even exceeds the consumers’ expectations and also the performance. Finally, quality management ensures the organization complies with all the regulatory and statutory requirements of standards. This makes the organization to be awarded certification for standards examples being ISO 14001 and ISO 13485 and many others. The quality management of the organization is very robust and flexible ensuring compliance with all expected requirements.

  1. Identify two quality management standards in the selected organization and figure out their relation to the organization’s vision and mission?

There are two quality management standards of DHL Express UAE which relate to the company’s vision and mission. The first one is the ISO 20,000 for the provision of quality IT service management. This is a service management system standard which requires the providers of the service to plan effectively, establish, supervise, control and also improve the service management system. This quality management standard also expects the service provider to deliver and enhance the quality of services offered so as to ensure high customer satisfaction.

This quality standard relates to the DHL Express UAE in that it is advocating for the use of the technological advancements so as to offer the customers high-quality services which are the mission of the organization. Also, ISO, 20,000 quality management standard requires monitoring, review and maintenance of the organization’s service system which will ensure an effective global working environment which conforms to the company’s mission and also the vision.

The other quality management standard in DHL Express UAE is the ISO 9001. This is a quality management system (QMS) for the companies which want to ensure consistent provision of services and also products which meet the expectations of their customers and also the other stakeholders of the organization. This quality standard aligns with the organization’s vision and mission in that the company is looking to improve their consumers experience by the provision of high-quality services which meet or exceed the customer’s experience. This quality management standard enables the organization to enhance its management processes globally and also in the regional front that being a leading logistics company.

  1. Suggest three different quality management standards that are not applied to the selected organization and justify how the chosen standards can improve and enhance the organization performance and its quality management.

There are three differ quality management standards which have not been applied in DHL Express UAE, which can be employed which can enhance the organization’s performance and also the company’s quality control. The first standard is the ISO 27001. This standard is internationally recognized and is sufficient for an information security management system (Istaitieh, A. et al. 2007). It essential for the identification of the risks which may affect the information of the organization. Also, it puts in place relevant appropriate controls which minimize the risk.

This quality standard would be appropriate for DHL Express UAE considering that it is based on the provision of important logistics data for analysis. This quality management standard would enhance the operations of the company in that it would identify any possible risk and thus in putting controls in place to safeguard the information of the organization related to logistics. This will make the customers and the shareholders gain more trust in the data of the group.

The second quality management standard which this assignment suggests for DHL Express UAE is ISO 9004:2009. This standard advocate for effective management to ensure sustained success for the organization (Forecasting, 2005). This standard would be useful for DHL since it will guide the operation thus supporting the sustenance of the current success of the organization by ensuring effective quality management. It is very active in much organization regardless of the size and also operations undertaken as posited by Kim, et al. (2015).

Finally, the third quality management standard which this organization could employ is ISO 9000. IS0 9000 is a collection of guidelines which help an organization to maintain and improve the existing quality management systems. It is often a process-oriented approach and would be effective when applied in DHL Express UAE. Using this standard in DHL will primarily enable the organization to identify the cause of any problems which may arise in the provision of their services thus coming up with a solution. This will improve the performance of the company in that it will improve the efficiency of the company’s operations thus maximizing the profits.
