Interview with Entrepreneur

The aim of the interview with the two interviewees was to assess the sources of their ideas, challenges in the processes of entrepreneurship and progresses.

Interview questions (the same questions were presented to the two interviewees)

  1. What is your understanding of the term entrepreneurship?

For me it is the process of developing ideas into something worthwhile

  1. Your project seems progressive, where did you get your first idea

I sourced my ideas from the challenges that were affecting people here. It was originally my ideas

  1. How did you implement the ideas and what were the challenges?

First you have to have funds and good management attitudes. Of course there are challenges but I am mostly motivated to achieve rather than fail

  1. What factors did you consider in the implementation of the ideas?

Availability of the needed technology, man power and ready market for my products

  1. According to how you implemented these ideas what can you say that people have been doing wrong that their ideas do not materialize to their potential?

Poor are motivated by money or returns rather than developing an idea to fruition

  1. What role should entrepreneurs have to the society?

Change the way people think and importantly, create something big out of just a single idea

  1. Do you get government support in the implementation of your ideas?

In most cases we rely on bank loans but government support come in terms of training

  1. What challenges do economic environment have on your goals? Did you suffer from the recent economic meltdown?

It impact of the market for sure. But I always believe that every venture has its own challenges. The most important thing is to be innovative and proactive for such challenges

  1. Do you see your entrepreneurship as business making opportunity?

At long run yes it does but on a day to day activity my aim is to change the current picture of the society so that every other person can know that they only need to try their ideas to realize how profitable it is

  1. How does change in technology affecting your entrepreneurship goals?

Technological changes are some of the things that have significantly improve my entrepreneurial skills. For instance, at the moment some of the operations and ordering are done using my cell-phone—an improvement that has maximized my returns
