` Conceptual Design for the Cart
The designed freight train is 250 long, 100mm wide and 119mm high. Every component provided has been put into use, 2 motor, all eight gears and the chain.
The maximum torque which can be provided by the one motor is 60g-cm this translate to 0.588N-cm. so for the two gears = 1.176N-cm
If we could use 0.5N-cm from every motor and the wheels has radius of 16mm
Torque= force * radius
0.5= 1.6cm* F
So the two motors can support 320*2= 640g
The largest gear will be connected to the motor which is then connected to second largest gear.
Speed of gear;
Since gear two and three are connected directly,
Speed of gear = speed of the wheels
Mechanical advantage =
Velocity of wheels
= * 1090
= 114.14 rad / sec
Time taken to cover the 5m
= 2.74 seconds
