Attitudes Towards Organizational Change.

Stress is one of the well known factors that contribute to negative attitudes towards organizational change. People are constantly concerned about their ability to be able to adapt to change and in turn their morale reduces causing decrease in performance and even low quality work and services. This paper discusses the role of the employees’ stress and the commitment they have to an organization.

Surveys done show that most companies now and then have planned change initiatives which go towards challenging the way processes are done and then changing them. This causes individuals to be uncertain about their abilities to handle these new changes. It leads to stress which then has an overall effect on the efficiency and effectiveness of an organization. Suggestions have been made that stress management programs should be incorporated to change management programs to help employees cope better with change (Vakola et al 160).
