Blog 1: Visit to the strawberry farm

One of my most memorable experiences this year, occurred when I visited a strawberry farm in Wamuran at the Sunshine Coast. My friends Bill and Ann had earlier on requested me to pay them a visit at their strawberry farm. The two own a massive strawberry farm in Wamuran. I must admit that at first, I did not know what to expect since I have never visited a strawberry farm and I know little about how strawberries are grown. Soon as I arrived at the farm, I was blown away by the beauty and ambience of the farm. The strawberry plantations were well aligned in long and straight furrows that extensively stretched towards huge acres of land. Evidently, I could see that growing strawberries requires intensive labour. From a distance I could see several farm workers pruning and picking strawberries. Bill and Ann were doing their regular rounds around the farm and so I joined them. As we went around the farm, they were kind enough to explain to me how strawberries are grown, cultivated and harvested. I learnt so much from them and I gained so much insight about strawberries in general. The highlight of my experience at the farm was marked by an afternoon session of picking and eating strawberries. The weather was cool, the environment was so serene and so we strolled around the farm chatting while picking strawberries. The strawberries were tasty, juicy and mouth watering. I ate a lot of strawberries and carried some for my family and friends back at home. Basically, my experience at the farm was exciting and breath-taking. I am looking forward to visiting the farm again.

Blog 2: Love Sunshine Coast Market

The Cotton Tree market is not a typical or ordinary market. One of the things that make the market to standout from other markets is that most of the products found in this market are unique and are tailor-made to suit the needs of customers. For those who are art fanatics, this market provides exquisite and artistic products that cannot be found elsewhere. Whenever I get an opportunity to be at the Sunshine Coast, I always visit the Cotton Tree Market. Last, Sunday my friends and I visited the market, though we did not have enough money to buy everything we found to be appealing, I must say we had a great experience surveying the unique products found in the market. Our first stop was at the cakes and biscuits stores, this is one of my favorite stores. This store offers different ranges of mouth watering flavors of cakes and biscuits. Subsequently, we headed to the art stall, where we found different exquisite paintings, mosaic flower pots and portraits. I was surprised to find such beautiful paintings being sold at low prices. We purchased four paintings and two mosaic pots, these items were unique and exquisite. Later, we proceeded to the adjacent stall which consisted of tailor-made coasters. I found the coasters in this stall to be extremely beautiful and artistic. Sadly, I could not buy any of the coasters since they were specifically ordered by other customers. The vendor explained to us that, one can provide their own picture which can be used to make a unique coaster. Finally, we ended our journey at the market by passing through the guitar shop, where we saw unique and artistic kinds of guitars.
