Professional health care practitioner is trained personnel responsible for improving individual health or treat illness. There is a law which guides behavior, professional conduct of health practitioner across different profession. The key attributes include; communication skills, interpersonal skills, empathy, flexibility, attention to detail, physical endurance, and problem solving skills, emotional stability, quick response and respect.

Feeling evaluation

I feel as a health practitioner, I require emotional stability to handle stress, death, suffering and traumatic situations. There is a feeling of professional empathy for pain and suffering patients. This will require me to provide comfort and feel compassion for patients.

Analysis

Communications skills attribute are for effective communication with patients. Health practitioners are required to work for long hours and additional responsibility to work in holidays, night shifts and this requires flexibility. Excellent attention to detail is necessary to avoid making errors. Interpersonal skills are required to relate with nurse, doctors and other staff members. Standing for long hours and lifting heavy objects call for physical endurance. Health practitioner ought to respond quickly to arising emergencies and situations.
