The planned exercise should be kept simple. By this, there is need to identify all the places frequently used by the children (Rands et al, 2016). The shapes and the sizes of the materials to be used should be determined and should favor the children use. Making decision on the areas to be incorporated into the centers for the exercise is another consideration to be made. This would be reading, writing, language arts, sand/water, languages, drama, creative arts and drawings. Consider a thorough thought through the plan in terms of the number of children to be expected, the quantity of space needed, the available materials and the additional materials to be added into the existing materials (Ronald, 2003). Ensure that the plan is manageable. The number of the set centers should depend on the available space. A consideration should also be made on the rules and regulations to be applied. By this, the number of children and how they would be controlled is to be considered. Boards could be used to help control the children movements and spinning.

  1. Why is it important for children to be physically fit?

Physically children are more likely to keep exercising into the future as they grow into adulthood. Through exercise, the children would be able to keep healthy and have a body weight within the normal range considering the adverse effects that are associated with the high BMI. Through regular exercise, strong bones, muscles that are healthy, and well-functioning joints would be developed by the exercising children. The children would be having adequate healthy sleep. There is a link between academics as regards school attendance. Teamwork can be developed through exercising in which the important virtue of sharing and teamwork is nurtured thus the students are able to coexist with each other very well. Perfect self-esteem is developed through exercising from which the children realize the worth of their importance and presence. They realize that there is recognition for their existence. Performances in other sectors are improved as the children are able to develop an advanced motor function and coordination that aid in their development. Minimal chances of depression and anxiety occur in children who exercise regularly.

Self-care- incorporates our thought in delivering excellent social and health care. It aids in developing personal services and making them a reality. Dignity outlines how the children are handled and supported without jeopardy into their social and health lives (Ronald, 2003). Equality and diversity indicate the framework for the provision of how to support people into adulthood and is another core principle. Working with cares is a principle that provides for how the personnel handling the children should realize when working with the professionals. Dementia as a principle provides how the children suffering from the same are to be handled.

(a). If Ula says yes she wants to cook, what strategy would you use to help Ula enterer this home corner situation? Give reasons for your choice of strategy, including why your strategy is important in the development of Ula’s play stage.

I would inform the other students in the game and with their permission include Ula to play together with them. This nurtures the sense of humility and respect that they would later on reciprocate in adulthood.

(b). How would you support Ula differently if she was 3 years old and played in as associative play stage? Explain your answer by referencing to the relevant aspects of development theory.

Because of the age variation, I would identify her interest and consider it with regards to the roles available as an assessment and motivation are concurrently performed.

(c). If Ula said no she wanted to be on her own, explain what you do to accommodate her needs and the reasons for your actions.

I would respect Ula’s decision and later on get to her and understand the reasons that led to her option for exclusion. This is so because of the need to win her trust and would easily enable her open up as she explains her problems.

Cognitive development considers the development that takes place internally including problem solving skills and language development (Clamp, 2006). Perceptual development is keen on the child’s ken with regards to the environment and the interactions made in the field.

  • Physical Development

A progressive gross and motor development from infancy into adulthood and predominate the adolescent stage. It entails one’s ability to have a control of their body most particularly muscles and the general body coordination. Most of the motor physical development occurs in childhood thus frequency of the brain damage.

  • Social development

This entails learning, one’s knowledge acquisition, and the skills one possess in relation to others in school or one they are home.

Emotional development involves the experiences, their ability to make expressions, the inculcation of the positive thinking and the rewarding aspect. Through this, the children are able to develop the intra and their interpersonal interaction with people.

  • Cognitive Development

This neuroscience and psychology have a much more focus on a child’s development. This would involve their ability to learn simple skills, learn languages, their perpetual skills. All these parameters are involved to determine the level of brain development. This also provides for a view in terms of the intellectual perception of the child.

  • Communication Development

Communication development involves all the aspects of development that takes place in a child’s developmental stages. This includes whole types of communication ranging form the commonly used verbal communication, facial/Body expressions.

Theories of physical, social, emotional, cognitive development and communication development

  • Erikson’s Psychological Theory that includes Trust versus Mistrust analyses, Autonomy vs. Shame and Doubt, Initiative Versus Guilt.

  • Paget’s Cognitive Development Theory. This provides for adaptation, assimilation, Accumulation that is essential in children’s development.

  • Gardner Multiple Intelligence Theory is applied because of its focus in ensuring mathematical logics development, visual development, interpersonal development, muscle growth.

Parents need to check out the changes with the increasing age (Herberts et al, 2016).

  • In age 1: At this stage, the children should be familiar with their and be able to identify with it. The child is able to comprehend simple languages. The child is able to identify with the expressions. They would try as much as possible to utter the first one uttered by their father or mother.

  • Age 2 is when the child is able to respond to simple questions. The child is able to express feelings when they are hungry, sleepy, experiencing some plain, in expression of thirst.

  • Age 3 is when the child is able to recognize his full name. The child is able to put on cloths alone and is able to express emotions through words.

  • Age 4 is when the child can be able to read their preferred book alone. The child does not possess the feeling their belongings to anyone including their fellow children.

  • At age 5, the child can write their names alone, the child is able to listen and can identify numbers.

Outline of what the organization does to foster development in each area in children

The focus of the organization is in:

  • The essential knowledge such as active listening skills, empathy among others.

  • Physical skills- coordination, locomotion, static balance, sprint balance, hopping and catching.

  • Essential skills- creation of development opportunities matched to the developmental stages of children.

  • Another fundamental focus is on social development that includes exposure to different cultural practices, religious practices, community organizations and family beliefs.

What is holistic development and how is it achieved?

Holistic development is focused in ensuring development as a whole. It does not focus in development divided into units. In promotion of academic development of their children, parents achieve holistic development through ways that are outlined below.

Holistic development is achieved through:

  • Inculcating the culture of reading into their children through reading to them fairytales. This helps them develop a sense and ability to imagine and be creative (Petrs and Mares, 2003).

  • It is also achieved by encouraging children to be involved in some service programs to the community. This inculcates the culture of humane and helps them familiarize with the needs of the society. Through this, they are also able to develop cooperation and caring skills that are essential for their development.

  • To achieve holistic development that would nurture a sense of job value and the need for employment in the future, the children should be allowed to participate in work study programs during the summer breaks. This is also important as far as their professional experience is concerned.

  • There is need to spend some time to watch movies with your children. This together with spending some time walking around is imperative as it helps the children develop throughout.

  • Parents should also establish some limits to the needs of their children (Clamp, 2006). This helps the children as they develop knowing that it is not easy to get everything they need. The parents and the care providers should create a rewarding system that values the hard work and the achievements made by the children in the simple tasks they perform.

  • The parents should help build the character of their children. Through this, the children should be exposed to value the importance of saying thank you and appreciate the need of generosity as they develop. In enhancing responsibility in the children, there is need to present the best trait of attitudes exposed to them. There is thus the need to expose them to a responsible environment.

How the organization helps children feel like they belong

To know that the students feel like they belong, an assessment should be made to realize that. This translates to:

  • The students’ ability to know the name of the care service provider; they are comfortable when spelling the name of the care service provider.

  • Their ability to illustrate the need to talk to the in charge shows that they have a sense of belonging.

  • When the children are able to listen to the speaker, familiarize with the moods and respond accordingly.

  • Another parameter would be if the children seek for help from the in charge. This shows they have a feeling that they have a space (Rands et al, 2016).

  • Ability of the children to include the people around them in their games and plans simply illustrate they belong. This could even be when they talk.

  • The most important of tem all is the ability of the children to open up and share a piece of their mind with the in charge. With this, the children show that they can confide in you and here their secrets with you.

Outline of how childhood education and care service providers are affected by and meet requirements of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the National Quality Standards (NQS) and the concepts of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).

  • This center complies with the requirements of NQF by having a higher ratio as concerns the educator to child requirement ratios. This ensures that greater attention and focus is directed towards the children. The personnel are of increased skills and qualifications. This ensures that there is approved increased framework and scope of learning and ensures that the best skills are imparted to the children (Clamp, 2006). The information regarding the educators to the children is availed to the government.

  • In conjunction with the requirements from the NQS, the educational programs and practice, children’s health and safety are complied with. This center has proper arrangement for our staff. Our leadership and management is well organized and provides the best for the children.

  • EYLF compliance by our children center ensures that our center is focused on the learning of the children and their wellbeing. Our center is focused in creating plans, promote and assess the learning. We focus on the children belonging through a devised curriculum that keeps into account the provisions and the use of different perspectives of theories in development of children. Children being, belonging, and becoming is the key focus of the center for the children development.
