( Artificial intelligence is an area in computer science, psychology and philosophy that focuses on creating machines that can engage on behaviors that humans consider intelligent Kumar(, 2009). In other words it is a scientific and engineering discipline devoted to the understanding of principles that make intelligent behavior possible in natural and artificial systems Kumar, 2009). In addition it will developed methods for the design and implementation of useful and intelligent systems (Deshpande(, 2009). These systems are able to mimic human thought, understand speech and able to beat the best human chess player never before experienced Kumar, 2009).

( Moreover, a computer system can be trained quickly and has virtually no operational cost, never forgets what it learns and can consider a large amount of information that may not be considered by humans Kumar, 2009). The ultimate aim of these computer programs is to be able to solve problems and achieve goals in the world as well as humans (Deshpande(, 2009). Moreover, these programs perform functions and processes that could require human specialization to carry out. These systems are objective and present unbiased outcome. The most famous of all uses for artificial intelligence systems is robotics Kumar(, 2009). Experts systems are designed to supply data in non-traditional way. It is composed of a database of knowledge in which the systems draws the information from Kumar, 2009).

The knowledge base will take the rules that will determine how knowledge is interpreted (Deshpande(, 2009). Also the inference engine will apply the knowledge to any situation it is in they are often utilized in corporations or other tasks that are very specialized since they are very good at what they do as it can draw upon previously existing knowledge in order to solve new problems Kumar(, 2009). The invention of artificial intelligence has led to the automation of activities that are associated with the human thinking. These activities include; decision making, problem solving and learning Kumar, 2009).

Elections have been a democratic process where the electorates present their opinions or make discrete decisions (Deshpande(, 2009). However election preparation has proven to be traditionally time intensive. In this case news ticker election has become the proven election reporting system with uncompromising features and versatility Kumar, 2009). It’s designed to prevent the on air disasters as it is the most powerful tools in election reporting available today and it improves the productivity every time it is used (Deshpande, 2009). As a result most of the elections are becoming more and more automated at the state and the regional level hence less wars and conflicts will be experienced because of free and fair competing environment (Deshpande, 2009).

( Robots have reputable features such as they do not have identity, racism or feelings to oppose ideas or sympathize with certain solutions Pagello(, 2000). Due to this, it has made possible to automatically rank candidates in either descending vote order, alphabetical or fixed order on a race by race basis Kumar(, 2009). An important problem is the computability and complexity of undesirable behavior among the agents such as control, manipulation and bribery in elections systems Pagello, 2000). The elections are central model for collective decision making where the voter’s preferences among the candidates are input to the election rule and a winner is declared by the rule (Deshpande, 2009).

( Computer programs are enhanced to ensure that elections are protected from various attacking actions that are intended to skew the results Pagello(, 2000). Detrimental actions include; situations where a voter misrepresents his/her vote to obtain selfish gain or capable of modifying the structure of an election by either adding or deleting a voter or a candidate Pagello(, 2000). Effective prioritization of these various threats could help election officials identify which attacks they should be concerned about and what steps could be taken to make such attacks as difficult as possible Kumar, 2009).

( Artificial intelligence in elections should be fair and able to create confidence in democracy, in that the election results must accurately reflect the intentions of the voters. In addition the citizen of a state will have the unalienable right to change their government and the mode of governance Kumar(, 2009). Voting is difficult task nowadays since the voting systems has suffer many problems that has resulted in lost votes, ranging from bad ballot design to polling places problems, transportation and counting procedure. These problems present obstacles to accuracy, integrity and security of valid vote counts Kumar, 2009).

( In the elections arena the artificial intelligence has enable the tasks of designing, diagnosing, analyzing, monitoring, advising and scheduling possible, Since it can emulate the decision making ability and problem capability of a human expert Kumar, 2009). Therefore the problems at hand can be solved effectively, efficiently and economically. In the field of robotics it has enhances the ability to move and act in the world by responding to new perceptions (Negnevitsky(, 2005). The program possesses knowledge about an application domain that takes in data from its environment and reasons out about the data to derive the information that is needed Kumar, 2009).

Voting has often been the most public and visible example of mass collective decision making. However the problem is how the votes are counted and aggregated to get an acceptable final result (Negnevitsky, 2005). In addition these technology advancement and processes can probably allow detection and correction of human error and fraud in the voting process thus promoting democracy in the country. Moreover it will instill confidence in the government and the system (Chaum, 2010). The effective solving of the problems of security, reliability and integrity in voting will help improve other transaction processing systems (Negnevitsky, 2005).
