Yes there is bias in the headline of the story.

The issue is to reveal possible persons that have led to the current teachers’ strike in Kenya as well as unveiling how the individual being blamed contributed to the conflict.

Both sides of the case have been considerably addressed. As it is, employment of teachers in Kenya was entirely dependent on the budget availed by the Finance minister, Uhuru Kenyatta. In the case he had allocated some money towards employment of teachers, more teachers would have been employed and therefore the current conflict could be a forgotten issue. The lawmakers had put forward a proposal that addressed teachers’ shortage issue in the country. However, the minister had to forward his budget to the parliamentary committee to approve. In the case the committee realized that teachers’ issue had not been addressed by the minister, they had the power to reject the proposal as well. This did not happen as the parliamentary committee approved the budget with its flaws.

There is language bias in the report based on the word selection particularly for the title of the article. A close look at the heading of the article, it is noted that it has been overstated and only attempts to convince the reader that the finance minister is to blame for the strike (Fischer-Starcke, 42). In addition, the title sneers at the house team for blaming Uhuru.

There is bias in the selection of facts in the article. The article has concentrated more on why the finance minister, Uhuru Kenyatta, should be blamed for the current teachers’ strike in Kenya. However, little has been talked about on the failure of the parliamentary committee in rejecting the proposed budget as presented by Uhuru despite their capacity to do so.

On the basis of race and gender, there is no bias since the parties conflicting are all Kenyan. The problem lies between the finance minister, Uhuru Kenyatta and the parliamentary house committee.

As you listen to your favorite program, Beyond Bounds, I will take you through racial discrimination. This follows a keen interest in the short story written by Alex La Guma, “The Lemon Orchard”. After reading the story, I discovered some of the cruel treatment that colored people went through during the racist regime in South Africa that latter stirred the ant-apartheid movement in the country. I carried out a face-to-face interview with Mr. Johnson who had a true depiction of racism at his place of work.

Mr. Johnson was compelled to file a case based on racial discrimination against a fire department of New York City in October 2009. After his action of filing the case, he found an almost four-foot-long lariat in front of his working desk. A close look at the desk, there was an anonymous message behind the noose. The lariat could be described as a “monkey knot” which apparently was used as a battering knot to thrash slaves. The complainant has worked for a certain electrical company for almost 15years. In his submission, he alleges that the company assumes junior electricians in issues of promotions as well as other chances. The main reason is that they are of different races from their seniors. This has led to inefficiency at the workplace as hatred builds amongst the workers in the company.

At the mention of Gallipoli, focus is put on the historical background of the Australian people. This has even gone to greater heights through production of the movie, Gallipoli in 1981. As the title of the film suggests, this is a depiction of the historical event whereby many Australian soldiers fought for their country. This makes the Gallipoli story significant in a number of ways (Prior, 15).

In the first place, the story marks the beginning of great history in Australia. During the Gallipoli War, it was the first time where men from this country fought under one umbrella as Australians marked by the country’s flag. The story therefore reminds them of the importance of patriotism. Even though they lost in this war, fame was gained by those who participated and died in the war (McKernan, 141). As a result of this comradeship has been embraced in Australia. In addition, the Gallipoli story reminds people of the rise of everlasting legends like Simpson and his donkey. He is considered as a hero for the country following his dedication in carrying wounded men up and down before being killed in the war. It is through the Gallipoli that the ANZAC Day way endorsed. This follows that every 25th of April, services are held in cities to remember the fallen heroes of the Gallipoli War.

As a result of the Gallipoli, it becomes easier for any individual watching the film to understand the Australian culture and values. The text hence serves as a conservative tool for these people’s culture from one generation to another.
