Mobile learning in Saudi Arabia:
Technology adoption is a significant development each nation wants to have. The technology of mobiles is one of the desired technologies. Therefore, mobile technology adoption graph has been increasing all through. Different countries have their figure distinct from each other. This is due to the difference in the adoption rate of mobile technology by the people of the lands. In the case of Saudi Arabia, adoption of mobile technology has widely been occurring recently. The technology penetration in the market a perfect technological uptake (Alwagait, 2015).
The mobile technology has penetrated at a rate of 70% in Saudi Arabia. This conclusion is drawn from the records of people’s tally that buy cell phones a day (Chanchary, 2016). The Saudi Arabian has also been highly using connections mark thus fueling the use of mobile technology. According to Al-Fahad (2014), the adopters of mobile technology are found to be the young in the society. This has due to their potency in performing researchers and learning new things. Besides, they are in the craving for new knowledge in the social world and business augment. These mobiles in the market are also used in the education sector for further research since they access the internet services (Chanchary, 2016).
Saudi Arabians have recorded high purchase of mobile phones in the market currently as compared to the previous years. The adoption of mobile technology has been fueled by several factors (Al-Fahad, 2014). On academic business section, mobile technology as brought close online purchases and sales. This has enabled the scholars to have a better relation of the theoretical knowledge taught in classrooms. Besides, it offers a chance for the student to get more knowledge pertaining the same. Therefore, all students are motivated to purchase mobile phones so as to be on par with others (Alwagait, 2015).
A factor that is driving to high adoption of mobile technology is its ease of use and accessibility. Cell phones are sold in all streets and towns in Saudi Arabia. This highly motivates their adoption by many due to their availability. Besides, the cost of several mobile phones is reasonable to the nation. This drives everyone to have their copy since they are affordable. Also, the usage of cell phones is easy for everyone to manage. They are not complicated to handle for all groups of people, elderly or the young (Alwagait, 2015). This brings ICT development and usage at the peak as different people use it for variated uses. Some of them are for the social purpose, educational use as well as business purpose among others which are necessary for academics (Chanchary, 2016).
Mobile technology has their devices not bulk to carry. The fact has highly led to the adoption of the technology by the nation. Compared to other electronic devices that have accessibility to the internet like the desktops, mobile phones are easy to walk with. This fuels their adoption to be used in the academic sector in Saudi Arabia. They can be carried everywhere at no burden, thus being convenient for use. This also contributed to their high adoption (Seliaman, 2016).
Regarding power usage, the mobile phones are believed to use less electricity for their operation. It is as compared to other electric devices that can be utilized by the academic department. Besides, all mobile phones have batteries that are used for power preservation. This enables one to use them without having them always plugged in the authority sockets like the desktops and other electric devices like TV and radio. Their batteries can conserve power for a while depending on the mobile’s model and how one uses and handles it. Therefore, for energy conservation, the Australian education sector agrees on the use of mobile phones for academic use (Nassuora, 2015). Besides, the students are active towards the adoption of mobile technology in learning at Saudi Arabia.
The features in the mobile phones allow their qualification for use and adoption for educational use. For example, the student doing photography can practice the knowledge taught on photography using cameras on their phones. Those going media, mass communication, and sound production can also use mobile phones for practice. Therefore, this has led to the significant adoption of mobile technology in Saudi Arabia in the educational sector. Also, some students are found to be anxious in the ICT exploration. Due to the unavailability of ICT accessing machines, mobile phones are considered usable for the same. This brings information technology to all individuals at a cheaper cost (Seliaman, 2016).
Mobile phones adoption in Saudi Arabia has also been brought about by the multiple services they can offer. They are used for communication thus coordination being eased. In institutions of higher learning, pupils and tutors communication has been facilitated by the mobile phones. Therefore each of the parties has to have a cell phone for the purpose of being informed on the current affairs in class work. Also, the tutors’ labor gets reduced since they can teach and assign students to mobile phones (Chanchary, 2016).

The adoption has been brought about by the ever changing technology. Therefore, everyone is after being at par with the current technological level and implementations. The data analysis values from the International Telecommunication Union do not vary much from those of the government (Nassuora, 2015).

In conclusion, Saudi Arabia is having the best idea for improving learning in its nation. The strategy of adopting mobile learning in their government will have a positive impact academically. Tutors labor will be reduced as students quickly access their studies even at home. Besides, the adoption of mobile learning will reduce the use of computers which consume a lot of power. This will reduce electric bills in the nation. Also, students will be able to put into practice what they are taught using the features in the mobile phones. Besides, the mobile phones have the ease to use and are easily available thus being highly adopted. They also are easy to carry as well as consume minimal energy. Statistical analysis from both the government and the International Telecommunication Unit show increase in the adoption of the mobile phones in Saudi Arabia. This suggests that shortly the adoption of mobiles will be higher that it is today. Besides, the learning sector is to be highly developed by the introduction of mobile learning in the nation.
